HCPL’s DVD of the Month: Big Hero 6

big hero 6Baymax is not your typical superhero robot. The large, marshmallow of a robot is actually a healthcare robot who is programmed to help people, not fight bad guys. Hiro is not your typical kid. He’s a 14 year old robotics prodigy that likes to make fighting robots. When Hiro’s brother is killed, and Baymax finds out that it was no accident, Hiro gives the robot some upgrades that make him the most huggable fighting robot the world has seen. Teaming up with a rag-tag group of robotics geniuses to form Big Hero 6, they must save the futuristic city of  San Fransokyo from the evil masked man, in the process uncovering why Hiro lost his beloved brother, and discovering the power of helping others – whether with super powers, hugs, or both.

Big Hero 6 is available on DVD to reserve at the Haliburton County Public Library.
